It seems very likely that by the end of the 2022 MLB season, Paul Goldschmidt will be crowned the National League MVP.
But not only is Goldschmidt a possibility for the NL MVP Award, he’s got a chance to ultimately win the Triple Crown.
The last player to win a Triple Crown was Miguel Cabrera back in 2012.
It's been 10 years since Miguel Cabrera won the Triple Crown.

Goldy Gunning For A Triple Crown
Goldschmidt has been unstoppable this season at the plate.
His hours of preparation clearly pay dividends.
The 34-year-old is the clear-cut favorite to win the MVP, but he might actually win the Triple Crown too.
He’s not far behind in home runs or RBI.
He could catch Schwarber and Alonso pretty quickly in those categories.
It could take just a few games at most, and with plenty of games still left in the season, Goldschmidt has more than enough time to do that.
The fact that he’s already over 100 RBI and we’re not even to September yet not only speaks volumes to his abilities, but also the hours of preparation he puts in.
Goldschmidt has been on an absolute tear right from the start of the season.
He, Nolan Arenado, and Pujols are the ones carrying the Cardinals right now.
The Cardinals are red-hot and looking to finish strong in Pujols and Yadier Molina‘s final season.
Goldschmidt winning the Triple Crown would just be icing on the cake.
