Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers has been a leader for two teams in the past, the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder.
However, he is now on the verge of being a part of the most successful squad of his career with the Los Angeles Clippers.
George, alongside Kawhi Leonard and the rest of the squad, are being talked about as possible Western Conference favorites.
After years of promises and goals that haven’t been met, the Clippers really could become champions this year.
And if they do, it’ll be with George not in the driver’s seat.

The player opened up about the fact that Leonard is the one leading the team.
In all honesty, he is quite fine with that arrangement.
“Kawhi is number one, and I’m totally fine with it… I’ll publicly say I’m the two and he’s the one. There’s no ego. My job is to make everybody better,” George said the other day.
This sort of mindset is great for George, Leonard, and the rest of the team.
Clippers’ Championship Season?
More players in the league would be smart to accept their roles and not let their egos get in the way.
The fact that George is more than okay with being the second most important guy on the team can work wonders for the squad and its mindset and culture.
And just because he sees himself as number two behind Leonard doesn’t mean he isn’t playing incredible ball.
George averaged 24.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists last season.
Based on what we have seen in his preseason performances, he could be doing that again in 2022-23.
That’s one heck of a number two player.
