The Kansas City Chiefs have now won their second Super Bowl in the past four seasons.
Look no further than quarterback Patrick Mahomes as a large reason why.
The Chiefs did not play their best first half, in which they trailed 24-14 heading into the break.
But, the elongated halftime gave them all they needed to make the adjustments necessary.
The halftime show was performed by Rihanna, but you can be sure no Chiefs player slipped out to watch it.
Mahomes stated how head coach Andy Reid stated an ultimatum for his players as they entered the locker room.

It was a good thing all the Chiefs players remained in the locker room.
They put on a clinic in the second half of that game, especially on offense.
KC had four offensive drives in the second half and scored points on all four (three touchdowns and one field goal).
Mahomes almost played a perfect second half as he completed 13 of 14 passes and has two passing touchdowns.
His QBR for that half was 99.4 out of a possible 100.
Also, one of the most impressive parts of the entire game was the Chiefs’ offensive line.
Facing an Eagles pass rush that led the NFL in sacks, they did not allow a single one on Sunday.
Allowing Mahomes to stand in the pocket and complete pass after pass was critical to their comeback.
It can not be overstated how well-prepared the Chiefs’ offense was for this game.
Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy put on a masterful coaching performance and found all of the holes in the Eagles’ defense.
All Chiefs players will gladly take this Super Bowl win over watching the halftime show anyway.
