Norma Hunt, the matriarch of the Kansas City Chiefs empire, has passed away at the age of 85.
She was the wife of late Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt, and she held the record for being the only woman to attend every single Super Bowl since the very first one.
Unsurprisingly, this was a big loss for the Chiefs organization, which announced the news late on Sunday.
That’s why Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes took to Twitter to mourn the passing of Hunt, sharing his condolences and his thoughts on the matter.
Mrs. Norma was the best. Glad to be a part of this special organization she help build. She will be missed! Prayers to the entire Hunt family. 🙏🏽💔 https://t.co/YOiDzVUK3j

Mahomes expressed how proud he was for being a part of the organization she helped build throughout the years, adding that she will be deeply missed.
She is the mother to current Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, and had been a prominent part of the organization even before her husband, Lamar, died back in 2006.
Norma was also a prominent figure in the FC Dallas organization, the Major League Soccer team also owned by her family.
Hunt was able to witness her beloved team take the Super Bowl trophy home by beating the Philadelphia Eagles, and celebrated in a parade just months ago.
Now, they’ll have even more motivation to be at their best and win back-to-back championships in 2023, as this will be a very special and emotive campaign for the reigning Super Bowl champions.
