The Kansas City Chiefs may have silenced some of their doubters, but they still have plenty of work to do.
The Philadelphia Eagles were the best regular-season team in the NFL, and they crushed their rivals all the way to the Super Bowl.
So, even though Patrick Mahomes will always be confident in his skills and his teammates, even he could use a little help from lady luck and the football gods.
That’s why he made a bit of a wacky promise in case his team went the distance and won the Vince Lombardi trophy.
Talking to TV host Cooper Manning — who was wearing cowboy boots — Mahomes promised to drink some cold Coors Light beers straight from his boots:
“Post Super Bowl, if you bring that thing there and we get the win, I’ll drink the beer out the boot with you,” Mahomes promised.
Patrick Mahomes says he will drink a beer out of Cooper Manning's boot if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl 🤣

That wouldn’t be the first time a player makes a promise like this, and you better believe the internet will keep receipts and demand Mahomes to fulfill his promise if the Chiefs pull off the upset.
Let’s hope Cooper Manning is wearing clean socks before that, although Pat has more than enough money to afford some Pepto and bubble gum to make the taste go away.
Of course, fulfilling that promise will be a bit of an uphill battle, as the Eagles’ defense has been lights out for most of the season, and their pass rush will give the Chiefs’ OL problems from start to finish.
But hey, if someone can do it, that’s Pat Mahomes, so Cooper better gets ready to fill those boots with some ice-cold beer.
