There were quite a few opinions the other day when Patrick Beverley was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.
To be quite frank, most of the hot takes were scorching Beverley and commenting on his over-the-top personality and trash-talking past.
Some fans were upset about Beverley making the cut when the Lakers lost Alex Caruso, Talen Horton-Tucker, and Stanley Johnson over the last couple of seasons.
However, one person is excited about Beverley on the team – and he has an opinion that matters.

Magic Johnson praised the trade, saying, “I used to hate Patrick Beverly when he played against my Lakers lol but now I love him because he’s on our team and he’s going to help my Lakers get to the playoffs!”
Beverley oversaw the fact that Johnson spelled his name incorrectly and retweeted the legendary player, stating, “It’s all Love.”
Bev has changed Johnson’s opinion – can he do the same to the fans of LA?
The Latest Laker
In the 24 hours since the trade was announced, many people have said a lot about Beverley.
Meanwhile, he has gotten to work and has reportedly been spending a lot of time in the Lakers’ practice gym.
This shows that the guy is ready to play and that’s a good sign.
Perhaps that’s the first step to winning LA faithful followers over.
Fans of the team want someone who is going to try hard during every single game.
Last season, there were too many instances of players seeming to gas out or not push themselves on the court.
Say what you want about Beverley, but he always has a fire in his belly and wants to play.
This might be his key to the hearts of Lakers fans all over the country.
