The Green Bay Packers may be in for a major change for the 2023 NFL season.
For the first time in nearly 30 years, the Packers could be without one of Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre.
This, of course, is amidst the rumors surrounding Rodgers and his potential departure from the team.
However, at least in the eyes of one Packers reporter, the team might just be okay under Jordan Love, should Rodgers choose to move on.
Jordan Love’s NFL tape shows a quick release, mobility, ability to go through progressions, ability to run play-action, willingness to check down, athleticism, confidence and more. Yes he’s raw, but he’s younger than many of the QBs in this draft class pic.twitter.com/B543SMmoIQ

Love is just 24 years old, and although he is unproven, he could provide upside for the Packers next season.
Unlike his predecessors, Love has a similar mobility level to Patrick Mahomes, and although his arm talent is nowhere Mahomes at this time, the fact that Love can scramble effectively is something that the Packers have not had as a part of their offensive scheme in quite some time.
One advantage that Love has over the incoming rookies, is that he has already been in an NFL locker room for three seasons, so he is familiar with the ups and downs of an NFL season.
Love might not be the Rodgers replacement that Packers fans are initially looking for, but could be won over if he can find success as their starter.
This, of course, is all hypothetical until we know more about Rodgers’ situation.
With trade talks heating up, the Packers do need to start their backup plan, and it looks like Love is their best option.
After all, the team did trade up for him in the 2020 draft, so they liked what they saw in his college film.
