The Indiana Pacers have been struggling all season.
This has been due to the fact that they traded away some major talent mid-season and also because they have been without one of their star players, Myles Turner, since January.
The Pacers big man suffered a left foot stress reaction and hasn’t been able to play for months as the team plummeted down the Eastern Conference standings.
Now we know for sure that he isn’t coming back any time soon.
Pacers announce that Myles Turner is out for the season. He's been out since January 14 with a stress reaction in his left foot.
"We will continue to work closely with Myles and we’re looking forward to his return to the court at full strength next season," Kevin Pritchard said.

The Pacers announced that Turner will be out for the rest of the season, which puts an end to a lot of speculation…as well as the Pacers’ season.
However, Indiana said, “We will continue to work closely with Myles and we’re looking forward to his return to the court at full strength next season.”
The Pacers would be very smart to hold onto Turner and build their team around him – even with his injuries.
Progress For Pacers
When healthy, Turner is one of the best centers in the league.
He led the NBA in blocks for the 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 seasons.
He also averaged 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks in 42 games this season.
He’s definitely the sort of player who can be a vital part of any team and the Pacers know this.
Fans of the team have been begging the Pacers to build the roster around Turner for a few seasons now and it sounds like the front office is listening.
If they really are committed to making Turner a cornerstone of the team, they could be very special next year.
This is especially true because they have also landed young talent with Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton too.
Hopefully, the offseason will allow Turner and his new teammates to work out together, get into a groove, and prepare themselves for what comes next.
