The Atlanta Braves have continued to play solid baseball even in the absence of their star second baseman Ozzie Albies.
Albies has been on the injured list for the past several months, forcing the Braves to rely heavily on young stars such as Vaughn Grissom.
He underwent surgery on a fractured left foot back on June 15.
Albies has been on a rehab assignment lately and looks to be progressing quite well at Triple-A Gwinnett.
In his seventh rehab game on Wednesday, he tripled and drove in two runs.
Albies is now 9-for-27 in his rehab assignment with four runs scored and six RBI.

Albies Progressing
This is a good sign for the Braves.
The addition of Albies will be huge for them when he returns.
Given the way he’s been producing down at Triple-A, it may not be too much longer before the Braves can activate him and he can help them try and chase down the New York Mets in the NL East.
The defending champions sit just a half-game back of New York for first place in the division with a few weeks left in the season.
The Mets and Braves will match up with one another one more time before the end of the season.
Having Albies available for that might just give the Braves the advantage they need to pull away from the Mets.
Albies has been hot down in Triple-A during his rehab assignment.
The Braves may not want to rush him back, but the sooner they get him back, the better.
It’s crunch time now.
The NL East is looking like it’s going to come down to the wire.
