The Baltimore Orioles are on an impressive run after years of irrelevance.

Now, they’re winning games and they find themselves in the postseason chase as we approach the All-Star break.

Nine wins in a row have gotten them back to the .500 mark and within two games of the final AL Wild Card spot.

And after years of not having anything to cheer about, Orioles fans are populating ballparks all across the league and making their presence known, traveling with their ballclub and cheering them on away from home.

The Orioles Twitter account posted a video of fans chanting “Let’s Go O’s” in Chicago last night.

Changing Of The Guard

It’s always nice to see a change of pace in baseball.

The Orioles obviously have not been relevant since 2016, when they last reached the postseason as the second Wild Card.

That was also the last time they finished above the .500 mark.

But now, they have become a major threat in the AL Wild Card race.

Sure, the addition of the third Wild Card is helping them out a ton, but all of Birdland is excited and ready to see their team make a run into October for the first time in forever.

This team is clearly better than we thought and it’ll be cool to see what happens with them in the second half.

But as long as they’re winning, Orioles fans will be traveling with their club on the road and taking over opposing ballparks.

It’s been years since they have been able to cheer about anything.

Now, here they are, witnessing their team make a surprise run and actually have a legitimate shot at reaching the postseason.
