About a third of the way into the NFL season, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. remains a man without a team.
He is still recovering from the torn ACL he suffered in the Super Bowl less than nine months ago, but he has been plotting his next move for a while now.
There have been plenty of rumors about which team he may end up signing with, but as he nears a full recovery, there is reportedly a solid frontrunner.
It is the Kansas City Chiefs, a team that is already doing fairly well with a 4-2 record.

Although Kansas City is once again looking like a championship contender, it is not unbeatable, and one more piece could make sure it goes all the way for the second time in three seasons.
Beckham could be that piece, as he was for the Los Angeles Rams last year.
He certainly won’t be an every-down receiver, as it is unreasonable to expect him to be dominant following two ACL injuries in the last couple of years, but every now and then, he’ll likely flash a glimpse of his old self.
Not too long ago, Beckham was one of the NFL’s deadliest weapons, especially because of his world-class speed.
As a rookie in 2014, he led the league in receiving yards per game, and he put up at least 1,300 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons.

He languished on some very lackluster New York Giants teams before he was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019, where he finally made the playoffs in the 2020 campaign.
Surely Patrick Mahomes could make Beckham look and feel younger and sprier as a member of the Chiefs.
