Right after they got blown out on Sunday by the San Francisco 49ers, 37-15, the Carolina Panthers seemed ready to strap their roster with dynamite and blow it up.
They fired head coach Matt Rhule, and now rumor has it they’re receiving lots of calls from other teams about some of their key players.
As is usually the case in this type of situation, the Panthers have downplayed their willingness to pull the trigger on such deals, but one reporter thinks one player is definitely going to be sent packing.

Brian Burns Could Help A Number Of Teams
Burns, who is 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, has been emerging over the last few years as a very solid edge rusher.
Last season, he recorded nine sacks, 50 tackles (31 solo), 13 tackles for loss, 18 quarterback hits and four passes defended, and as a result, he was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time.
So far this year, he has accumulated four sacks, six tackles for loss and six QB hits.
Burns may not be as elite a talent as Myles Garrett or T.J. Watt, but he is just 24 and can only get better.
It is no wonder that many fans are pining for their teams to give up some significant capital for Burns.
If Panthers are going to blow it up the #Eagles should absolutely be willing to trade a premium asset for Brian Burns

In addition to Burns, the Panthers have several other players they may be willing to jettison.
Running back Christian McCaffrey has been injury prone over the last couple of years, but he’s the type of potent dual-threat back who could put a contending team over the top.
Meanwhile, wide receivers D.J. Moore and Robbie Anderson could augment an existing receiving corps and help take pressure off another squad’s WR1.
