MLB.com released its list of the top starting pitching rotations in all of baseball on Tuesday.
At the top of the list sits that of the New York Mets, who have added Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt to their rotation after losing Marcus Stroman and Noah Syndergaard.
Scherzer and Bassitt are set to slot in next to perhaps the best pitcher in all of baseball at the moment, that being Jacob deGrom.
These three starters can form a solid top three that would be a nightmare for any ballclub to have to face on any given day.
Deal with one, then you’ve got to deal with the rest.

Rolling Out The Aces
On paper, it’s easy to see why the Mets’ rotation is ranked as the best in all of baseball.
Scherzer and deGrom are arguably the top two starting pitchers in the game today, and Bassitt isn’t too far off either.
Carlos Carrasco and Taijuan Walker round out the bottom two spots in the rotation, and those two guys are no slouches, having flashed ace potential before.
So if all goes according to plan, the Mets should have the top rotation in the entire league.
Health is the key, however, and injuries are always possible, thus, the health of guys such as Scherzer and deGrom is a major question mark.
Both aces saw their seasons end early as a result of injuries.
deGrom had elbow trouble and Scherzer was ultimately in a dead-arm state by the time the Dodgers reached the NLCS.
Los Angeles ultimately scratched Scherzer from his Game 6 start against the Atlanta Braves.
That could be a sign of trouble, but if healthy, the Mets should have a dominant rotation in 2022.
