Freddie Freeman is one of the top MLB free agents still out there and waiting to be signed as a result of the ongoing lockout.
Several teams have been in on him since free agency began.
Free agency of course cannot continue until the lockout is over, but that hasn’t stopped teams from inquiring about the star first baseman.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have been one of the teams who have been looking at Freeman this offseason, and Max Muncy likes the idea of having a guy like Freeman in the Dodgers’ lineup when the lockout comes to an end.

How Freeman Would Help The Dodgers
Freeman would make Los Angeles immediate favorites to win a title.
Though Muncy is their regular first baseman as of now, signing Freeman would give them a ton of options.
Obviously, given that Freeman is a former Gold Glove Award winner, he would take over first base duties, but with the DH now in the National League, that could be Muncy’s new home.
It’s also possible that the Dodgers could shift Muncy over to second base to keep him on the field, or even move him to third base and make Justin Turner the full-time DH.
If the Dodgers were to sign Freeman, they would really be sticking it to the Braves, who beat them in the NLCS last year on their way to their first World Series title since 1995.
This would show that the Dodgers are back for vengeance against Atlanta.
Freeman remains one of the top free agents left on the market, and he is sure to be highly coveted once the lockout is over.
Plenty of teams could use a lefty power bat in their lineup.
