
Over the last few years, NBA star Aaron Gordon has really found a place for himself with the Denver Nuggets.
Gordon has steadily gotten better and better since coming to the Nuggets from the Orlando Magic and is now one of the best players on the team.
That says a lot considering the Nuggets also have superstars like Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray on the roster.
Gordon’s increased output for the Nuggets has gotten so good that a few fans thought he had a shot at making the recent All-Star Game.
That wasn’t the case and Gordon missed the game.
But recent statements show that he’s moving beyond that and is more focused than ever.

Speaking to the media, Gordon said that he has been practicing a lot of self-care and therapy with a strong focus on his mental health.
He admits that it “hurt” to not be part of the All-Star Game but that he has avoided the negative thoughts that came with that pain.
Gordon said that putting such emphasis on his mental health is an important way to be a “well-rounded competitor.”
Based on these statements, he sounds tuned in and ready to play hard for the rest of the season.
Gordon does seem very comfortable and committed with Denver and that is shown nightly as he achieves so much.
The forward is currently averaging 17.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists a game.
Being happy and healthy makes an NBA player even better and Gordon is proving that.
