Although the Denver Nuggets are still the best team in the Western Conference, they are in the midst of a rough patch right now.
The team suffered their third-straight loss on Sunday night, falling to the Brooklyn Nets, 122-120.
Head coach Mike Malone opened up about his team’s disappointing evening.
According to Nuggets insider Katy Winge, Malone said, “The last three games our defense has been non-existent.”
He added that he is currently looking for players who can guard their opponents.

On Sunday night, the Nets elected to go with a smaller lineup, which caused Malone and his staff to focus on their smaller players too.
Over the last three games, they have allowed their opponents to score more than 100 points every night.
In fact, the San Antonio Spurs notched 128 against the Nuggets a few nights ago, which is a total rarely seen by those playing against the Nuggets.
Malone has a point: the defense was lacking throughout the last few games.
But he is in complete control of changing that.
If Malone wishes to see his team do something different, he has the ability to make that happen.
Fans are fairly concerned to see the Nuggets lose these games, especially since there are only a few weeks left before the postseason starts.
This is not the time for the team to be functioning improperly.
The good news is that the Nuggets still have time to get back on track, and have proven repeatedly that they can.
And it’s clear that Malone knows exactly what is plaguing the team and slowing it down.
Now it’s just a matter of changing the team’s weak defense.

What in the world is he saying? He let Murray brick shots, kept hot Porter on the bench and didn’t give Braun enough minutes. He’s along with Murray the reason we lost. I rest my case.
