The Los Angeles Angels are looking very good to start the 2022 season.
They are currently 13-7 to open the year, and they are atop the standings in the AL West division.
Thriving in that division will be tough all year, because the Houston Astros and the Seattle Mariners play there, too.
But the Angels worked a lot during the offseason to get better, and so far, they look better.
One of the reasons why they have been so successful in the early going has been the performance of their pitching, particularly starter Noah Syndergaard.
While Syndergaard hasn’t shown the kind of strikeout potential that allowed him to whiff 9.65 hitters per nine innings pitched over the course of his career (he is at just 5.82 this year, in three starts), he is thriving from a run-prevention standpoint.
His ERA in 17 innings is a very solid 2.12.
A Very Popular Angel On Social Media
Not only that, but he is making sure to interact with fans on Twitter, which makes him very popular in Los Angeles just one month into his stint with the Angels.
He is a must-follow on Twitter, as his hilarious jokes and controversial responses are fun to watch.
“Wait…..the outfield rock formation at Angel Stadium….is actually a WATERFALL?!?! WHAT?!?!,” was his latest tweet, directed to Angels fans, in reference to the unique feature in his home stadium.

If he keeps performing at a high level, and especially if he helps them get to the playoffs, they are going to love him even more.
Right now, it’s fair to say that his work on the mound and his active life on Twitter are making him one of the most popular Angels among fans.
