Nikola Jokic and his Denver Nuggets are getting ready for the 2023 NBA Finals.
After sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals, they’re waiting for their next rival.
Nikola Jokic knows that he’s about to start the biggest series of his career, but still keeps it in perspective that there are bigger things than basketball in life.
Jokic, specifically, talks about his family, his daughter, and the importance they have over his basketball career.
“I knew that even before that basketball is not the [main] thing in my life and probably never going to be. And to be honest, I like it because I have something more at home that is more important than basketball.”

The Serbian center is having a terrific playoff run, confirming that he’s arguably one of the three best players in the NBA right now.
Jokic missed out on his third consecutive MVP award, but he always made it clear he was looking at the bigger picture.
The NBA playoffs were a big obstacle for him until this season, and many fans and analysts wondered if he would be able to perform on the biggest stage.
The Nuggets are now four wins away from winning their first NBA championship.
Jokic is playing at a high level, just like Jamal Murray.
They have found a great support cast in Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and others.
Whoever comes out of the East will have a hard time beating the Nuggets and their well-rounded squad.
Jokic is ready to prove his doubters wrong once again.
