Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is still the reigning MVP of the league.
While most people felt that he wouldn’t win the prize again this year because so few athletes have, he is definitely making his case.
In fact, he is outpacing the rest of the NBA in some stunning ways and leaving other players in the dust.

Jokic is the only player with 1,000 points, 500+ rebounds, and 500+ assists this season.
No other star even has 1,000 points, 400 rebounds, and 400 assists.
At this point, conventional wisdom should be thrown out the window and people should truly consider the fact that Jokic could in fact win yet another MVP trophy.
The only other NBA players to win that trophy three times in a row are Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, and Bill Russell.
That was done more than 30 years ago but Jokic could achieve what they did if he keeps performing like this.
Since the start of the season, his name has been toward the top of all MVP speculative lists.
And as the season has gone on, his chances have only grown.
Meanwhile, his team is still thriving and holding onto the top spot in the Western Conference.
They are surely going to keep fighting hard, especially now that Kevin Durant is in their conference.
But even if they were in last place, Jokic would still be playing like the generational talent that he is.
Jokic is not only eclipsing every other player on his team and in his conference, but he’s also leading the league in some dominant and shockingly impressive ways.
