Throughout the 2022-23 NBA season, you have been able to count on one thing: Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is going to put on a show every single night.
That was true again on Wednesday, as Jokic scored 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists in a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
This was just another triple-double for the two-time MVP, who is perhaps having the best season of his life right now.

Not only did he get the win, but he also got another piece of Denver Nuggets history.
Jokic is now the Nuggets’ all-time leader in assists.
Among all the other franchise leaders in assists, Jokic is currently the only center to claim that distinction.
Jokic has been producing so many points all season long with an average of 25.1 per game.
But perhaps it’s the number of assists he generates that makes him even more impressive.
He is scoring 9.9 assists a game and is doing so in the most amazing ways.
Because of his huge size, Jokic is able to read the floor better than anyone else.
He is seemingly always a few steps ahead.
He doesn’t move with incredible speed but every step and pass he takes is deliberate and expertly timed and executed.
There is now a chorus of NBA analysts who think that Jokic might end up being the best passer in years, perhaps in NBA history.
Watching Jokic play is like watching a human NBA highlight reel, especially when it comes to his assists.
Being Denver’s all-time assists leader is a huge deal for Jokic but everyone knows that it likely won’t be the last honor he claims.
