Nikola Jokic was once again terrific on Friday night but his Denver Nuggets were not.
The Nuggets were attempting to bounce back from a tough loss against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.
Taking on the San Antonio Spurs, one of the worst teams in the league, seemed like a great way to do that.
In the end, they fell to the Spurs, 128-120.
Not only was it a disappointing defeat for the Nuggets, but according to SportsCenter, it snapped a 29-game winning streak for the Nuggets when Jokic records a triple-double.

Jokic posted 37 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists during the loss, yet another stunning triple-double for the MVP contender.
This was his 26th triple-double of the season and the first time his team has lost with him achieving one.
There were several other Denver players who performed well on Friday, including Jamal Murray with 24 points and Aaron Gordon with 14 of his own.
But that couldn’t stop San Antonio’s Keldon Johnson with 23 points and new recruit Sandro Mamukelashvili who lit up in the fourth quarter with 11 points.
Despite Friday’s loss, the Nuggets are still looking incredibly good as the postseason quickly approaches.
They have a 46-21 record and are six games ahead of the second-place Sacramento Kings.
But they will have to right their wrongs and start winning again, especially since they have to face the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, and Sacramento Kings in the final weeks of the regular season.
The team has arguably the best NBA player alive and he is consistently amazing.
Fans don’t want to see the Nuggets lose any games as long as Jokic is playing so well.
