Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is making a really strong case for himself as this season’s MVP.
Yes, he has won the award for the last two years and it’s rare that an NBA star achieves a three-peat.
But you cannot deny just how great Jokic is night after night and how he masters the floor in ways that other people simply do not.
When you look at his passing abilities, you see a player who is unparalleled in multiple aspects.

On Wednesday night, Jokic and his Nuggets faced off against the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns never stood a chance and Denver beat them, 126-97.
Jokic notched 21 points, a monster 18 rebounds, and 9 assists.
One of those assists came early in the game, as he found Aaron Gordon in the corner, ready to receive the ball and score an easy two.
The pass that Jokic created was just wild.
While not even looking Gordon’s way, he committed a quick, one-handed lob that found Gordon.
It was a risky move and Gordon should be celebrated for being ready and palming it with just one hand.
It’s yet another example of the creative and astonishing ways that Jokic works with his teammates.
Throughout the season, he has averaged 9.7 assists a game, a career-high for him.
And many of those assists are just like the one you see above: fun to watch, almost unbelievable, and nearly always received as intended by other Nuggets players.
The Nuggets are currently in a tough fight for the top spot in the West, sharing a 28-13 record with the Memphis Grizzlies.
No matter how this season ends, you can be sure Jokic will be a part of many highlight reels.
