After being drafted as the eighth overall pick back in 2014 by the Sacramento Kings, Stauskas ended up bouncing around the league and ended up playing with six different teams.
Earlier this year, Stauskas played a couple of games with the Miami Heat during the height of the COVID-19 absences but he’s once again made his way back to the G League.
But that doesn’t seem to bother him at all because Stauskas is doing some serious work.
Nik Stauskas has scored a combined 100 PTS in less than 24 hours:
Today: 43 PTS | 16/21 FG | 9/13 3PT
Yesterday: 57 PTS | 20/29 FG | 11/15 3PT

Over the last two games, Stauskas has scored a combined 100 points.
On Wednesday night, he put up 43 points on 16-of-21 and 9-of-13 three-pointers.
And on Tuesday, he created 57 points, with 20-of 29 and 11-of-15 on threes.
No matter if he’s playing in the G League or not, those are wild numbers and suggest that Stauskas is still an absolute baller.
Back To The League?
It’s not often that someone makes 100 points in just 24 hours, even if that player is in the G League.
While it is true that the G League definitely does have a different tempo than the big leagues, 100 points is still a huge feat.
And there is no doubt that front offices throughout the NBA pay close attention to the guys in the G League.
Therefore, there is a chance that Stauskas could be picked up by a team after having such an incredible pair of games.
It has happened before: throughout this season, teams have picked up G League players and signed them to 10-day contracts and sometimes even longer.
Even if Stauskas doesn’t come close to 43 or 57 points in a night, he could be a true offensive powerhouse and that’s why an NBA team would be smart to sign him to a short deal while his hand is so hot.
