The Kansas City Chiefs finished the 2022 NFL season with the Lombardi Trophy in hand.
As the 2023 regular season gets closer, pundits and analysts across the league have provided their takes and predictions for the upcoming year.
Some have predicted a different champion, predicting a potential struggle for the returning champs.
In a recent segment of “The Herd” with Collin Cowherd, Nick Wright supported the Chiefs, believing they will hoist the Lombardi again this season.
Wright gave several examples regarding this strong opinion, including comparing the Chiefs to “watching Jordan, Phil Jackson and the Bulls in the 90’s.”
Are the Chiefs primed to repeat?

Wright believes the Chiefs are an NFL dynasty and thinks they have a similar mindset to the Chicago Bulls from the 1990s.
The Bulls won six NBA titles with Michael Jordan in one of the most remarkable eras in United States professional sports history.
Will Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs come close to this level of dominance?
One of the pieces of Wright’s argument was the Chiefs’ ability to win despite Mahomes recovering from an injury throughout the playoffs.
He believes no other team in the playoffs could find this level of success if their quarterback fell to injury.
The regular season kicks off in less than two weeks, as the Chiefs begin a run to defend their title.
Soon, Wright’s predictions will play out, and fans will witness whether they come to fruition.
Can the Chiefs make their way back to the Super Bowl, knowing how loaded the AFC has gotten over the past several months?
