The Zion Williamson saga may be coming to an end in the Big Easy, with the New Orleans Pelicans potentially interested in trading him elsewhere and finding a way to bring in rookie Scoot Henderson.
Over the last couple of weeks, there’s been a lot of buzz about Williamson’s immediate future, with some off-the-floor issues being blasted all over social media recently.
At this point, Williamson seems to be a bit of a mess with his off-the-court issues and his inability to stay healthy, and now the Pelicans may have had enough of his antics and are ready to move on.
Nick Wright of Fox Sports believes the Pelicans will ultimately trade him, and it will be a good thing for both sides via First Things First.
"If I were the Pelicans I wouldn't trade Zion under almost any circumstances right now. … But I'm not, and I think they will trade him. And I think it'll be good for him." 👀

With the Pelicans having one of the most talented young rosters in the league today, it could be argued that this is their window to compete for a championship or at least be competitive night in and night out.
Brandon Ingram has proven that he’s the real deal, and the team has some talented young pieces around him, along with a savvy veteran shooter in C.J. McCollum.
If the Pelicans can move off Williamson and land Henderson or a high draft pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, New Orleans might be able to put something together that could stand the test of time while improving as a team.
With only a few days left before the draft, it’ll be interesting to see how aggressively the Pelicans pursue making a move and if Williamson is ultimately involved.
