Just last year, people were urging the Philadelphia Eagles to move on from Jalen Hurts.
But Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni wanted no part of that conversation.
They held on to him, gave him better weapons, and now they’re one win away from taking another Vince Lombardi trophy home.
That’s just how fast things can change in the National Football League and how much difference a year can make for a young player, especially under the right system and playing for an organization that believes in him.
Notably, though, some believe that Sirianni has way too much faith in him after he went as far as to compare him with Michael Jordan shortly after they thrashed the San Francisco 49ers.
But instead of backpedaling and taking his compliments down a notch, the Eagles’ Head Coach doubled down on his comparisons and stated that Hurts’ competitive drive is similar to Jordan’s, at least from afar.
Sirianni added that he doesn’t really know what Jalen Hurts’ ceiling is because he continues to improve every single day and that competitive fire and relentless work ethic — just like Jordan’s — can one day make him the best player in the league:

While not the best, Hurts is most definitely the most improved right now, finally proving that he could be the franchise cornerstone some doubted he was capable of.
Then again, a bad game on Sunday could once again reignite all the chatter around him, so we’ll have to wait and see what version of him we get at State Farm Stadium.
