A lot can change in one year.
Just a year ago, Nick Foles was competing for the starting quarterback job with the Chicago Bears.
Now, Foles finds himself buried on the depth chart behind Andy Dalton and rookie quarterback Justin Fields.
With a tight cap situation, Chicago has reportedly been seeking trade partners for Foles this offseason.
Foles’ Preferred Head Coach
The recent injury to Indianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz has created buzz that Foles may want to reunite with former coach Frank Reich.
Foles was recently asked about these thoughts surrounding his status.
“Listen, Frank Reich is one of my favorite, if not favorite coach of all-time”
“He understands me as a player, he understands me as a person” said Foles.
A fired up Nick Foles talks about Frank Reich, Carson Wentz, what he wants in a trade, and more.
Foles: "The version of me right now is much better than the version that played in the Super Bowl … Put that through your mind."

It certainly sounds like Foles would welcome a reunion with his former head coach.
Wentz is expected to miss all the preseason and his status for the regular season is unknown at this point.

Foles Makes Sense For Colts
At this point, you have to believe the Colts are exploring all avenues for an experienced veteran.
A Super Bowl champion in Foles and his familiarity in Reich’s offense would make sense here.
By trading Foles, the Bears would free up $4 million in cap space.
Bears head coach Matt Nagy has acknowledged that he expects Foles’ name to come up frequently in trade talk, but hasn’t talked to Foles about it.
Matt Nagy understands why Nick Foles' name would come up when other teams might be in need of a QB.
But, no, he doesn't ever talk to Foles about it.
