Last season, the Chicago Bears saw a potential superstar emerge in the form of up-and-coming quarterback Justin Fields, who turned many heads in the second half of the 2022 campaign.
Although the Bears ended the season in disappointment, with Chicago losing its last 10 games, Fields took his game to another level and showed that he wasn’t another quarterback draft bust for the struggling franchise.
Fields became a one-man wrecking crew once he started to get going in the second half of the 2022 season, as he drove opposing defenses insane with his ability to run the football and be incredibly elusive once the ball was in his possession.
Even though Fields’ improved play did not result in more than three wins on the season, the Bears knew they had their new franchise quarterback in place and, as a result, traded the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Carolina Panthers.
San Francisco 49ers superstar Nick Bosa, one of the best pass rushers in the game, gave Fields the ultimate compliment for his ability to be a threat with his legs, via NFL Films.

With Fields proving to be one of the best young quarterbacks in the league, it will be interesting to see if the young speedster can take his game to another level next season and put some wins on the board for the struggling franchise.
One significant addition to the team that should help him do just that is the team acquiring star wide receiver DJ Moore in the trade with the Panthers, while Chase Claypool having another season to get comfortable in Chicago could pay big dividends as well.
