Even though Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL, very few people believe it.
Maybe it is because the 2021 NFL offseason feels more like a soap opera than a series of business transactions, but fans believe Brady will reemerge.
Fans are not the only ones.
Media people do also.
In the first three minutes of this video clip from The Rich Eisen Show, Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk lays out his logic for believing that Brady has retired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but not the NFL.
Florio: Brady Wants To Play For The 49ers
According to Florio, playing for the 49ers was always what Brady wanted to do after leaving New England.
He was not happy to be overlooked in favor of Jimmy Garoppolo.
Now that the 49ers seem to be in the process of parting ways with Garoppolo, it is a perfect time for Brady to reappear and team up with Kyle Shanahan.
Does the #49ers situation fit Tom Brady more NOW than it did after the 2019 season (when he was reportedly interested)?@SteinmetzNBA & @DDDGURU are on opposite sides, help us decide!

Gronk: Brady Will Be Back
Even Brady’s teammate and friend Rob Gronkowski is not completely convinced that Brady is done with professional football.
He said the window for Brady’s return is a couple of years down the line or after he gets inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Florio: Glazer Family Would Let Brady Out Of Contract
Despite the fact that Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians has made it abundantly clear that the Bucs would never trade Brady for anything below an unreasonably high asking price, Florio believes if Brady talked with the Glazer family, owners of the team, they would relieve him of his contractual obligations.
Bruce Arians has set his price for a Tom Brady trade if he returns 🥴 pic.twitter.com/XU9DZ2arT5

Because Brady played two years, restructured his deal to help the team financially, and most importantly led the team to a Super Bowl Championship, the Glazer family would work with him.
He Is Still In Football Shape
There have been various reports that Brady is regularly working out and throwing.
He is staying in football shape.
Given his commitment to health and wellness, this is not entirely surprising.
It does not indicate a football return is imminent, but it also does not rule out the possibility either.
Florio Compared Brady To Favre
According to Florio, when Brady alluded to not knowing how he would feel in June, he had a deja vu moment because it was similar to a comment Brett Favre made when he retired and then shortly thereafter unretired.
Conclusion
Brady is not impulsive.
This decision to retire was made following a lot of discussion with his family and introspection.
He has a movie project in development and has launched his Brady Brand clothing line.

If he has a change of heart and returns to the game, the game and its fans are lucky to see a little more from the GOAT.
Should Brady never play professional football again, we witnessed an amazing athlete and dominant career that generations of football fans for years to come will be talking about.
