It’s official.
As of yesterday afternoon, Sean Payton is the new coach of the Denver Broncos.
Let’s take a look at how fans across the league have reacted to this news.
I’ve said before, and you can’t say it about every coach; @SeanPayton will win 4+ more games just because he’s the coach. He’s that kind of a difference maker in his approach to the game in how he structures his game plan, calls plays, feels the game, and understands his team. https://t.co/H3C57th5Vz

Luke McCown is a former NFL quarterback who has over ten years of tenure in the NFL.
In his eyes, Payton’s former experience alone should result in at least four more wins for the Broncos.
This is despite the Broncos’ disappointing 5-12 record in 2022.
Four more wins for the Broncos, at least this season, would have resulted in a 9-8 record, and likely, a playoff spot.
Will Payton be able to make an instant impact on the Broncos?
Some fans are indicating that, if the Broncos can’t win next season, it won’t necessarily be Payton’s fault.
Apparently Sean Payton is going to be the Broncos next head coach. I'll say this. If he can't make Russell Wilson work in 2023, Wilson is washed up. There will be zero excuses after this year.

In the 2022 offseason, the Broncos agreed to pay Russell Wilson over $290 million, which will be spread out over the next six seasons.
Wilson underwhelmed expectations in his first season as a member of the Broncos and will look to improve mightily in 2023.
If he is unable to do so, the Broncos might just have a quarterback problem on their hands, something that the team thought they fixed by signing Wilson.
If you didn’t Let’s Ride with us when we were losing, don’t you dare let’s ride with us when we’re winning with Sean Payton.
If we lose with Sean Payton feel free to Let’s Ride in our face

The Broncos were the butt-end of many jokes across the league in 2022.
As this fan alludes, if you weren’t supporting the 5-12 roster last season, you might be considered a bandwagon fan now that Payton is the coach.
However, this fan is well-aware that this sentiment could blow up in their face, which is why they added a nice caveat at the end.
