It is the Sunday night NFL surprise on the heels of free agency.
Tom Brady on Twitter announced that he will be returning for a 23rd season to the NFL and specifically to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG pic.twitter.com/U0yhRKVKVm

The Bucs were pretty excited about Brady’s announcement.

Check out my TikTok which conveys my reaction to the news.

As expected, the NFL world has a host of reactions.
Here are a few.
Jalen Ramsey Is Thrilled
Jalen Ramsey is happy to see Brady back.
He did not want to be the player listed in the statistic of who the GOAT threw his last NFL touchdown against.
Jalen Ramsey couldn't be happier that Brady is back 😅 pic.twitter.com/6MsGVXWXw9

Media People React
The media outlets and people were on point with their Twitter reactions.
It was almost as if they had a canned response on the ready just in case.

SB Nation noted that the Major League Baseball Lockout last over twice as long as Brady’s retirement.
Tom Brady's retirement be like … pic.twitter.com/8bchvx3AKA

SportsCenter used a clip of Bart Simpson with Brady’s head superimposed to emphasize how short-lived Brady’s retirement was.
ESPN’s Ryan Clark tweeted what all of us were thinking but did not say out loud.
Tom’s kids must be bad as hell!!

Dan Katz and Nick Fasoli of Barstool Sports accurately stated that March Madness became Brady Madness on Sunday evening.
Tom Brady just snatched March Madness away from twitter.

Brady outshined everyone else’s retirement, now he has to outshine March Madness haha only the 🐐 @TomBrady

Thankfully the Bucs left the light on for the GOAT, as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport noted.
Tom Brady is back. A short retirement. The #Bucs never replaced him and didn’t make an offer on Deshaun Watson. They left the light on. Now, Brady is back.

Brady is running it back as if he is 34 and not 44.
He will turn 45 before the 2022 season kicks off.

Brady’s Last TD Ball Auctioned Off Yesterday
Some wonder how the guy is doing who spent over $500,000 yesterday for the ball Brady used to throw his final NFL touchdown.

Conclusion
As expected, it has been the offseason of quarterback stories though they have not turned out as we expected.
Aaron Rodgers stayed put, and Russell Wilson and Carson Wentz moved.
Brady came out of retirement right after Kirk Cousins signs a one-year deal to stay with the Vikings.
Aaron Rodgers had his news cycle upstaged by Russell Wilson and then TOM BRADY UNRETIRED and Kirk Cousins said "this is my moment" https://t.co/Itmm5YFGov

Free agency has not even started yet, and the Deshaun Watson story is still developing.
It is going to be a fun week.
