While the specifics of the deal are not yet available, Saints fans should be excited for Mathieu’s arrival.
After all, he’s one of the best safeties in the game and his signing will boost an already loaded Saints secondary.
Head coach Dennis Allen will put much attention on their defense, and signing Mathieu gives him a veteran presence who is a reliable last line of defense.
Aside from him, the Saints will also have several playmakers on their depth chart.
Tyrann Mathieu, Marshon Lattimore, Paulson Adebo, CJ Gardner-Johnson, Marcus Maye, Bradley Roby, PJ Williams, Alontae Taylor. LAWD that secondary would be 🔥🔥🔥

If all goes well, the Saints could be among the league leaders in fewest passing yards allowed per game during the 2022 NFL season.
With Cameron Jordan and Demario Davis generating pressure, New Orleans’ defense is looking to shut down all opponents.
Mathieu Revives Rivalry With Tom Brady
Kansas City Chiefs fans have nothing but appreciation for the 29-year-old safety.
After all, he was one of the main contributors during the team’s Super Bowl LIV run.

Winning a world championship in three seasons is something hard to ignore.
Likewise, Mathieu also gained two of his three First-Team All-Pro selections with the Chiefs.
But with him moving to the NFC South, he gets to compete against Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady again.
Their exchange of verbal jabs have been well documented.
