The secret’s out: All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore will be joining the Indianapolis Colts on a two-year, $23 million deal.

The 2019 Defensive Player of the Year gets $14 million guaranteed and will play for his fourth NFL team in 11 seasons.

Gilmore last played for his hometown team Carolina Panthers but lasted just one year.

With the Colts, he revitalizes a secondary with Kenny Moore, Brandon Facyson, and Rodney McLeod.

This Twitter user was pleading to the heavens for general manager Chris Ballard to bring in Gilmore.

Adding Stephon Gilmore to the mix would propel the #Colts into the top 5 NFL defenses. Imagine this:

– Darius Leonard

– Deforest Buckner

– Yannick Ngakoue

-Grover Stewart

– Stephon Gilmore

– Kenny Moore

– Kwity Paye

– Isaiah Rodgers

But he’s correct in identifying that the Colts will have a scary defense next season.

They now have an All-Pro in all three levels of defense with DeForest Buckner on the defensive line and linebacker Darius Leonard.

Aside from those players, the Colts also have promising pass rusher Kwity Paye and Yannick Ngakoue.

However, adding Gilmore has Colts fans feeling this way.

They can dance all they want once the Colts reach the playoffs.

Last year was disappointing after they missed out on the postseason despite two opportunities to clinch a berth.

The Colts don’t want the same situation and are making upgrades on both sides of the ball.

Aside from Gilmore, the team also brought in former league MVP Matt Ryan to elevate their offense.

What Does Gilmore Bring To The Table?

Opposing quarterbacks will have a dilemma on which side to throw the ball.

On one side, the Colts have Moore, who made his first Pro Bowl last season.

Then Gilmore can shut down wide receivers because of his ability to read routes.

This is why Irsay sent a Jet for Stephon Gilmore. #Colts

Still, fans of other teams believe that adding Gilmore won’t make a difference for Indianapolis.

Haters gonna hate, and they’ll hate Gilmore even more if he puts those wideouts on an island.
