NFL World Reacts To The Deshaun Watson Suspension News

Cleveland Browns fans are celebrating for now after former federal judge Sue Robinson recommended that quarterback Deshaun Watson be suspended for just six games in 2022.

This is the verdict Robinson recommended after the hearings that lasted three days and the deliberations that lasted for weeks.

However, this is not the end of the case because the league can still make an appeal.

Therefore, there’s a chance that the suspension will stay put or lengthen.

Regardless of the final outcome, some NFL fans thought that Robinson took a long time to suggest a verdict.

Either way, there will be pushback regarding her decision and she based her recommendation on precedents.

Likewise, there’s a chance that the league won’t appeal the case because, evil as it may seem, Watson is a crowd drawer.

Just another reminder. The NFL doesn’t “really” care about the things they say do. They’re a business. It’s good for business for Deshaun Watson to play football. Ratings. 6 games proves that. Not shocking. There’s zero consistency to their punishments. Never has been.

The ratings will go up when he plays because either the fans will hate or love him.

As always, the league would like to prove that they punished Watson to satisfy those who want to see him penalized.

For those who clamor for a lengthier verdict, the NFL could not care less.

Those who hate the decision are now hoping for the Baltimore Ravens take it to Watson once he plays again.

The NFL Has Weird Morality

Football fans couldn’t help but compare Watson’s potential suspension to that of Calvin Ridley.

Ridley was suspended for an entire season due to gambling.

Meanwhile, Watson allegedly assaulted up to 24 women sexually and got only six games.

This is not to say that gambling merits a lighter punishment, but any case involving the degradation of one person should be equivalent to a higher sanction.

Tom Brady was suspended 4 games for the NFL not understanding science.

Calvin Ridley was suspended 1 year for gambling on the NFL.

Deshaun Watson was suspended 6 games for sexually assaulting more than 20 women.

I don’t think I can share my thoughts on this disgusting ruling.

This discussion is not going away any time soon.
