Quarterback Blake Bortles has retired after playing for eight NFL seasons.
While he suited up for five teams, he will be remembered the most for his stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
That franchise selected him with the third overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, and he stayed there for five seasons.
That’s why this fan sees it appropriate for him to retire as a Jaguar.

Meanwhile, other fans remembered his memories with the Jaguars, including their trip to the 2017 AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots.
The Jaguars held a 20-10 fourth-quarter lead before Tom Brady completed yet another comeback.
Remember when Blake Bortles turned into Vick during the AFC Championship game and just ran for his life

While the Jaguars failed to secure a Super Bowl trip, Bortles will have a special place in the hearts of Jaguars fans because he is only one of two quarterbacks that led Jacksonville to the conference championship game.

Relating Bortles’ Retirement To Other Topics
With the University of Central Florida alumnus hanging up his cleats for good, fans of a television series remembered one guy.
Thinking of only one man today on this the day that Blake Bortles retired. pic.twitter.com/juEjkg17iQ
— Mike Beauvais (@MikeBeauvais) October 5, 2022
That guy is Canadian actor Manny Jacinto who uttered “Bortles” before throwing a Molotov cocktail into a speed boat in the television series “The Good Place.”
Likewise, football enthusiasts are arguing that Bortles brought out the best in wide receiver Allen Robinson.
Seems pretty obvious at this point that Allen Robinson needs an elite QB like Blake Bortles to get him the football
— Andrew Cooper (@CoopAFiasco) October 4, 2022
As of writing, Robinson is struggling to make an impact with the Los Angeles Rams, collecting only 95 yards in four games.
On the other hand, this fan cannot believe that Blaine Gabbert outlasted Bortles.
Blake Bortles retiring while Blaine Gabbert still draws an NFL salary is perhaps one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in the modern era https://t.co/PDcB7nXyVz

Gabbert is suiting up for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a back-up for Brady, the man that defeated Jacksonville in their third AFC title game appearance.
Finally, Kansas City Chiefs fans used the opportunity to throw shade at Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.

With Bortles ending his playing career, he can now go to smoking cigarettes and working in construction.
Blake Bortles retiring remind of the time he was asked what he would be doing if not playing football and he said “probably working construction, smoking cigs”. A legend.
