Russell Wilson has always been a great professional during his time in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks.
He never stirs up drama and 2021 marks his first losing season ever.
Yet there are trade rumors surrounding Wilson and Sunday could have been his final home game in Seattle.
The rumors are constant and Wilson made a bold declaration Thursday when speaking to the media.
Russell Wilson when asked about his future in Seattle: "My goal is to win more Super Bowls and my plan is to win them here."

He made it clear his plan is to keep winning Super Bowls in Seattle.
That has NFL fans both in and out of the city reacting to this statement from the career Seahawk.
NFL World Reacts To Wilson’s Latest Claim
Wilson saying he wants to stay in Seattle is big news for Seahawks fans.
With Week 18 approaching it would be easy to just say he is unsure of what is to come.
But this seems to point toward him wanting to work things out.
I’ve said this before & I’ll say it again, Russell Wilson will ONLY want to leave the #Seahawks if changes aren’t made to his liking, he’s essentially just putting pressure on the team!!

Wilson’s approach may just be to get the fans on his side.
If the team gets stubborn and refuses to heed his advice this offseason, whether that is on players or coaches, he can say it is just a bad fit.
Every time Russell Wilson uses “hope” and “plan” and any other non-committal language about his Seahawks future: pic.twitter.com/AhASnYSsSu

Russell Wilson has said he “hopes” to stay with the Seahawks. His no-trade clause can ensure he does. He was asked why, then, he hasn’t said he “will” stay put. Part of Wilson’s answer: “My goal is to win more Super Bowls. My plan is to win them here. It’s that simple.” pic.twitter.com/pfgpqJ8QeJ

Russell Wilson staying! https://t.co/XbJ3qD0ZsF pic.twitter.com/yJ8NFK8mlr

Seahawks fans will fall on one of two sides here.
Those who support Wilson will see this statement as good news and a sign that he is in fact staying.
Yet those who are more skeptical may just see it as a positive PR move.
There is truly no telling what will happen because it may come down to keeping Wilson or Pete Carroll.
AKA Pete Carroll is gone people. https://t.co/UuY40n5YUU

Bring everyone back but Pete Carroll

These decisions that must be made will determine the future of the Seahawks franchise.
Losing Wilson could doom them moving forward if he leaves and starts winning Super Bowls elsewhere.
Only time will tell how this all plays out as Seahawks fans dig in on their respective sides of the debate.
