Yes, the Denver Broncos allowed Russell Wilson to cook in their Week 5 Thursday Night Football game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Unfortunately, he did not deliver a Michelin Star-level performance.

Instead, the All-Pro quarterback was toasted by the Indianapolis Colts, a team that did just enough to win the game, 12-9.
Wilson is proving to be more of a liability than an asset five weeks into the 2022 NFL season.
Against Indianapolis alone, he completed just 53.9 percent of his passes and threw two interceptions.
Despite the ugly performance, the Broncos had an opportunity to win the game in overtime.
They knocked at the end zone on fourth down, and a run play could deliver them the winning score.
Instead, Wilson forced the ball to Courtland Sutton, who was well-covered by Stephon Gilmore.
He did not see a wide-open K.J. Hamler who could have walked to the end zone for the game-ending touchdown.

Wilson has a 59.4 percent completion rate through five games.
That’s a low number for a quarterback that led the league in passer rating once.
He also has three interceptions compared to four touchdowns.

Denver’s Loss Is Seattle’s Gain
Their game against Indianapolis is the Broncos’ second primetime game this season.
They lost their season-opener against Wilson’s former team, the Seattle Seahawks.
While there is still time for Wilson to turn his season around, the Seahawks are looking like the better team.

Quarterback Geno Smith leads the league in completion percentage and has scored more points than the Broncos.
If the trend continues, the Broncos will have to suffer while paying Wilson’s $245 million contract.
No team will trade for him now, given his struggles.

In contrast, the Seahawks will have a draft haul that can help them build a more competitive roster.
However, they should do better than their recent draft history for those picks to matter.
