New York Giants fans are not exactly pleased with owner John Mara at the moment.
He was forced to clean house after two seasons of Joe Judge as the franchise starts over yet again.
Mara took the podium Wednesday to face the heat from the media about the decisions he had to make.
John Mara said the Giants "didn't see a clear path out of it" with Joe Judge. Felt they had no choice but to completely blow it up. Have a "clean sweep."

Mara stressed the team hit new lows and even described it as a new “rock bottom.”

His comments have the entire NFL world reacting as the Giants’ dysfunction continues.
John Mara claiming this the low point and most embarrassing moment for his Giants franchise is pretty rich considering the many greater embarrassments of the past six years

NFL World Reacts To John Mara’s Latest Comments
Mara basically said he made a mistake and realized he needed to move on from Judge.
But that isn’t stopping people from pointing out how the owner may be the biggest problem of all.

This is simply the nature of ownership in sports.
People who are not experts in the game make the hirings and firings simply because they are the boss.
Someone like Mara cannot be fired, so he can fail as much as he wants without any real consequences.

I was so hopeful for the future of the @Giants this morning. Then John Mara opened his mouth…

The #Giants didn’t allow today’s press conference with Owner John Mara to be live streamed.
This was because Mara didn’t want there to be any more embarrassing viral sound bites. Mara feared he may break down into tears under questioning on how far the franchise has fallen.

All Mara can do now is try again in finding a head coach and GM who can work together to at least get the team back to a winning season.
The only problem is that top candidates may not want to work for a franchise that has fired three coaches in six seasons.

So for John Mara to say this is the most embarrassed he has ever been tells you how bad the last six weeks, especially the Judge press conference after the Bears' game and the two QB sneaks against Washington, were. https://t.co/mxhFf1Cl65

Usually when a team is as bad as the @Giants for as long as they’ve been, they fire the VP of Personnel. So what do the #giants do? They let him help conduct GM searches. My god, it’s tough having to fire family, but John Mara just surrender already and do things right!!! pic.twitter.com/FJRY7C0upn

Being so embarrassed may be a wake-up call for Mara and the Giants.
He can make sure he hires established candidates, if that is possible, and go away from a strategy of trying to make the most creative hire.
That did not work out with Judge and the final result is Mara answering for his latest mistake.
John Mara, we are not morons. There is not one other organization that exists, where if they suck for a decade, the VICE PRESIDENT OF PLAYER PERSONNEL never looses their job.

Giants fans now get to spend the rest of the month debating head coaching candidates, and likely having a polarizing reaction to whoever is hired.
