The NFL postseason is a week away and the Tennessee Titans find themselves atop the AFC.
That is an amazing feat considering Derrick Henry has not played since Halloween.
Henry racked up nearly 1,000 yards in the first two months of the season before going down with a foot injury.
But there is only good news in Tennessee this week as Henry is expected back at practice Wednesday.
The #Titans have designated RB Derrick Henry to return, clearing his way to practice today.

Henry shows up healthy and on one of the best teams in the AFC.
The rest of the conference has to be worried.

NFL Fans React To Henry’s Return
Henry is such a dominant player that the reaction to his return is overwhelmingly positive.
The playoffs are always much more fun when the top talents are on the field.
If Derrick Henry comes back for the playoffs and the Titans win the Super Bowl, he should be named MVP and the rule should be changed immediately.

One fact a lot of people are pointing out is that Henry is sixth in rushing yards this year even though he has only played in eight games.
He could easily finish with a 1,000-yard season in nine games if he gets on the field Sunday.
Derrick Henry only played 8 games this season… and he still has more rushing yards and the same number of rushing TDs as Zeke who has not missed a game.

Derrick henry, who hasn’t played since week 8, is still 8th in the nfl in rush attempts

The Titans have what should be an easy path to the top seed with a Week 18 matchup against the Houston Texans.
Henry could stand on the sidelines and that remains the case.
And if they win and clinch the top seed, they land that all-important bye to give Henry even more rest.
Titans really gonna have the #1 seed and a fresh Derrick Henry 😮💨 https://t.co/AkgGHNyInb

The Titans could have been doomed once Henry went down with his injury.
But they did well enough to stay atop the AFC in what was a wild year all over the NFL.
Not panicking and staying steady means they enter the postseason with a fresh Henry.
That is almost unfair to the rest of the NFL.
