With the NFL season rapidly coming to a close, teams are fighting for their chance at reaching the playoffs.
With the Philadelphia Eagles being the only team to clinch a playoff spot, other teams must fight for their spot.
However, two teams have started their journey of fading out of the playoff race during 2022.
1. Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns had themselves a shot at making a playoff run.
However, a loss to their AFC North rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, has pushed them down the playoff ladder.
With the Browns having a 0.4% chance of making the playoffs after their loss, it’s easy to say their season is over.

Before the loss, the Browns had a chance if they could run the table and win out.
But now their playoff chances are fading away, something fans are very familiar with each season.
2. Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers were resting during Week 14, having a 4% chance of reaching the playoffs.
However, those chances have gone down over the weekend.
With the Packers needing to win out, and have several teams lose games, their playoff hopes are fading away.
While the Packers have a slim shot of making the playoffs, too many teams are ahead of them.
They also have Aaron Rodgers nursing two separate injuries which are holding him back this season.
While he wants to continue playing, the slim playoff chances aren’t worth having him further injure himself.
Unless the three teams ahead of them have a total collapse, the playoff days of the Packers are fading away.
