The Los Angeles Angels proved their desire to win with a busy offseason, signing Noah Syndergaard, Ryan Tepera, Archie Bradley, and Michael Lorenzen to beef up their pitching staff.
Their lineup already consisted of Anthony Rendon, Mike Trout, and two-way star Shohei Ohtani, but now their pitching is up to par, and they look ready to contend in 2022.
NFL superstar J.J. Watt appears to think they have a good shot at winning as well.
In fact, the Angels’ spring training stadium, Temple Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona, is apparently right down the road from where Watt lives, and he wants to see them in action.
More specifically, he wants to watch Ohtani pitch.
Could you please let me know when Shohei Ohtani is next scheduled to pitch @Angels?
Your spring training facility is right down the road and I’d like to come watch him, Mike, Rendon, Thor, etc. #MVP

Watt Is Ready To Go
Watt is ready to be a full-time Angels fan this year, and it’s good to see.
When athletes show their support to a team from another sport, it goes to show how close knit the sports community truly is.
But who wouldn’t want to watch Ohtani do his thing, whether it’s spring training, regular season, or postseason?
Here’s a guy who is taking the sports world by storm.
But there’s more than just Ohtani to be excited about for the Angels, as Watt points out in his tweet.
He wants to see this new and improved squad in action with Trout, Ohtani, Rendon, and Syndergaard.
It’s been a while since the Angels were a legitimate contender, and Watt is ready to see what this team can do.
Watt is like all of us.
He wants some sports entertainment and what better place to go to see it than at Angels camp, where people have the opportunity to watch a star in the making like Ohtani dominate?
