The Carolina Panthers have plenty of work to do to fix the mistakes of their franchise.
While former head coach Matt Rhule destroyed the franchise, Frank Reich is now in charge of fixing the mess.
However, rumors are coming out of how players in Carolina are “skeptical” of the new head coach.
Carolina #Panthers head coach Frank Reich has one offseason to both win over a skeptical locker room and improve it. 😬
Do you feel like the Panthers made the right hire? 🏈

The skepticism of Reich comes from how interim head coach Steve Wilks nearly got the Panthers into the playoffs.
While he came up short, he held a respectable 6-6 record as the team’s head coach.
With the team having a disaster on offense, Wilks had to rely on the defense to win games.
Now that the team took Reich over Wilks, it may cause a divide with players who loved their interim head coach.
With players like Frankie Luvu paying respect to Wilks, it makes it hard to see him go.
Thank you for all you done coach! All the best to you and the family! Much alofas🫡 https://t.co/iTGaS2OXq4

The hiring also brings out other issues outside of Reich’s control.
Because of this, he now faces an uphill battle to win over the locker room of his team.
However, he also faces a tall task to improve the Panthers roster.
While their defense is solid, he must work on the offensive side to fix their quarterback issues.
With Sam Darnold set to become a free agent, the team has Matt Corral, Jacob Eason, and PJ Walker who could take over.
However, they might not be the answer the team needs in 2023.
If they aren’t, Reich will need the Panthers to get a franchise quarterback for his offense.
Getting their future quarterback is his only way of starting the repair required in Carolina with this team and its players.
