The 2022 NFL International Series got bigger with the addition of the first regular-season game in Germany.

In that game, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks will play at Allianz Arena, the home of FC Bayern Munich.

Three games will also be played in London, two of which at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But Germany’s addition to the annual overseas games also made the upcoming season the first time NFL games will be played in three countries outside the United States.

An NFC West showdown in Mexico City.

The league announced that two NFC West division rivals, the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers, will compete on November 21 at 8:15 p.m. ET in Estadio Azteca in Mexico.

Football fans will tune in to this treat, especially because it will be played in primetime.

Games in London and Germany will coincide to morning Eastern Time in America.

Both the 49ers and the Cardinals made last season’s playoffs.

Arizona and San Francisco were eliminated by the Los Angeles Rams.

The Cardinals ended their season with a humiliating Wild Card round defeat while the Niners pushed the Rams to the limit in the NFC Championship Game.

Interesting Storylines For Cardinals And 49ers

The Cardinals might have a rough start in their 2022 campaign after DeAndre Hopkins was suspended for six weeks for violating the league’s PED policy.

Likewise, they also lost Christian Kirk to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chase Edmonds to the Miami Dolphins.

On the other hand, the 49ers might not have Deebo Samuel anymore after the All-Pro wideout requested a trade.

General manager John Lynch believes that Samuel will change his mind and the team is willing to meet his asking price.

Aside from him, the Niners are still trying to trade Jimmy Garoppolo but there have been no takers.

With Trey Lance being their starter in 2022, removing Garoppolo’s cap hit will help them fortify their roster.
