3 NFL QBs On New Teams Facing The Most Pressure

With the quarterback situations in the NFL slowly being resolved, we are seeing some QBs with new teams.

While several teams made their moves for new quarterbacks for 2022, some of those QBs are under pressure to win instantly.

However, they could face pressure they can’t handle.

With all the pressure on these quarterbacks with their new teams, who are the three that will face the most pressure in 2022?

3. Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan is getting a new start after spending over a decade in Atlanta with the Falcons.

His new team, the Indianapolis Colts, is hungry to return to the NFL playoffs.

After missing out last season, they would make a change at quarterback.

That means Ryan is facing pressure to get the team back into playoff form for 2022.

He’s already got Jonathan Taylor, a running back that is a force for the Colts.

the guard for the colts. drafted in 2018. 3x first team all pro. 1 x 2nd team all pro. 4x pro bowler. he makes Jonathan Taylor (who is really good) look elite. I pretty much think hes the aaron donald of OL

With a running back like him, the Colts feel Ryan is the last piece to get them back to the playoffs.

However, that’s yet to be seen, as Ryan has fallen off since losing key players around him in Atlanta.

But the hope here is that he can succeed with the players Indy has around him now.

It also puts pressure on him to gel with them and get them where they should have been last season with Carson Wentz.

However, he doesn’t face as much pressure as other quarterbacks on this list that need to win now.

2. Carson Wentz

After making the playoffs in 2020, the Washington Commanders would miss out on the playoffs in 2021.

However, the team has a terrible history of instability at quarterback over the last several years.

But with Wentz around in 2022, the hope becomes that he can help them reach the playoffs yet again.

While some claim he’s injury prone, he completed the 2021 season without an injury.

So with him staying healthy, he’s got the pressure of the franchise on his shoulders for 2022.

That pressure could also come from Ron Rivera possibly being on the hot seat if 2022 is a wash.

With the pressure on Wentz, he’ll have a supporting cast to help make the job easier.

Receiver Terry McLaurin and running back Antonio Gibson give him offensive weapons to help him win games in 2022.

So with them healthy and around, Wentz can use them in the game plan to help get Washington back in the playoffs.

1. Baker Mayfield

Former Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield has the most pressure on him in 2022.

Matt Rhule’s job depends on the success of Mayfield in Carolina.

Because Matt Rhule is coaching for his job.. he is already on the hot seat, so a tank means he is def gone

If Rhule wants to remain the head coach in Carolina, he needs Mayfield to at least get the team above .500.

With the group of players around him, that could be a tall task.

While Christian McCaffrey is a great running back, his injury history makes him an unknown for 2022.

However, if he remains healthy, it could take some pressure off Mayfield.

But otherwise, it’s all up to him to show the Panthers that Rhule is worthy to stay with the team as head coach.
