Everyone is keeping a close eye on some of the top potential free agents for 2023.
However, some of these NFL players are having a rough 2022.
Their play this season is seeing their stock fall.
With them turning in poor performances, it’s hurting their chances of getting a great contract next year.
Out of all these potential free agents for 2023, which two are seeing their stock fall the most in 2022?
1. Sterling Shepard
Sterling Shepard has seen another season go up in flames over an injury.
While multiple injuries kept him on the sidelines in 2021, an ACL injury has taken him completely out for 2022.

Shepard was expecting to be a bigger part of the New York Giants and their offense in 2022 before his injury.
While a torn Achilles ended his 2021 season, this was supposed to be a comeback year for him.
With him missing another season, his stock has gone down.
2. Baker Mayfield
No one else has given a crash-and-burn performance like Baker Mayfield.
While some were hoping his move to the Carolina Panthers was the ticket to turning him around, it was nothing more than a disaster.
His play with them was so bad the team let him go, despite being on the hook for his expensive contract.
While the Los Angeles Rams are giving him a chance, he did nothing in Carolina to prove his worth.
However, fans of his will point to his one good game of the season as a member of the Rams.
While the Rams got him on waivers, they were a desperate team in need of a quarterback.
With every other NFL team, his stock had already fallen more than his statistical numbers for 2022.
