Over the years, the Super Bowl has become a worldwide phenomenon, and for some people, the actual game that is played on the field has become secondary.
Many casual viewers of the Super Bowl are more interested in the halftime performance and whatever crazy commercials they’re going to talk about with their co-workers during the next day.
On Sunday, the NFL gave fans something to look forward to for this season’s Super Bowl when they announced that Usher has been selected to perform during halftime of this season’s big game.

This season’s Super Bowl will be taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from inside the home building of the Las Vegas Raiders, Allegiant Stadium.
With Las Vegas known for putting on a spectacle, we should expect Usher to have some pretty big plans for his halftime performance in this season’s Super Bowl.
Last season, the crowd in attendance at the Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona, was treated to a marvelous performance by Rihanna, who also surprised much of her audience by doing the whole halftime show while pregnant.
Some of the past Super Bowl halftime performers have included Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, The Weeknd, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Maroon 5, and Justin Timberlake.
For a musical artist, the opportunity to perform during halftime of the Super Bowl is typically a gigantic accomplishment, and it’s a sign that that artist’s music is appreciated by a large group of people.
Even if everyone tuning into the game isn’t a big fan of the halftime performer, people typically come away impressed with how the performance looked, and that is what Usher will be looking to accomplish in February.NEXT: Analyst Has High Praise For Unproven NFC QB
