Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford got some validation after winning Super Bowl LVI.
He finally shook off the distinction of being not good enough to win the big game.
While he did not win MVP honors in that game, he did enough with 26 completions for 283 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
But you would admire him more after knowing he was playing hurt during that game.
The former Georgia standout finally had a chance to get it fixed during the offseason, as ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter shared.
Rams QB Matthew Stafford underwent an off-season elbow procedure to deal with the pain he experienced last season and to help prepare for this season, per sources. Despite the questions about his elbow, Stafford is now said to feel better today than he did at this time last year.

Schefter tweeted, “Rams QB Matthew Stafford underwent an off-season elbow procedure to deal with the pain he experienced last season and to help prepare for this season, per sources. Despite the questions about his elbow, Stafford is now said to feel better today than he did at this time last year.”
Aside from the shoulder, the elbow is an important body part for a quarterback because it is part of his throwing motion.
Therefore, he had to endure the pain while throwing darts to Van Jefferson, Tyler Higbee, Odell Beckham Jr., and Cooper Kupp.
Likewise, it’s a scary thought for the other teams that Stafford is feeling better.
Stafford Targeting More Super Bowl Wins
Now that he has won one, there’s no other way to go but hopefully win more titles.
The Rams believe that he is the quarterback that can maximize their current championship window by giving him a four-year, $160 million extension.
More importantly, the band is back, but with some additions.
The backfield remains the same with Cam Akers and Darnell Henderson Jr.
But there have been alterations in their receiving corps with the addition of Allen Robinson II.
Two seasons ago, he had 1,250 receiving yards and six touchdowns for the Chicago Bears.
He will be a valuable target for Stafford as they begin their title defense against the Buffalo Bills later today.
