NFL teams are in the final stretch of preparations for the 2022 season.
However, it’s one of the toughest parts of the offseason because they have to reduce their active roster to 53 men.
They may base their decision on preseason performance or other intangibles.
Some players might be given a lease on their careers if they are picked up from waivers.
But some of them will have to wait a while before seeing the field again.
For that reason, Pro Football Focus writer Ari Meirov brought up the emotional aspect behind NFL cuts.

He tweeted, “Something to remember over the next 24 hours as NFL cuts start to be announced and final rosters are determined. These players are real people, with real lives, real families, real emotions, real feelings, real hopes, and real dreams. Please be respectful and mindful of this.”
This reminder cuts deep for those who might be fighting for a roster spot.
All-Pros and Pro Bowlers may be shoo-ins once the final line-ups are made.
However, there are those who are looking to make it and possibly give their families a better life.
They may be chiseled men who are more athletic than most people.
But deep inside, getting cut hurts a lot because of the rejection.
Hanging By A Thread
If a player gets released, he would hope that another team will be interested in signing him.
But that situation may not happen too often because teams have done due diligence in keeping the players that will help them the most.
For the lucky few, they will consider getting another shot as a blessing.
It should motivate them to strive even harder and show that the team did not make a mistake in taking a chance on them.
