Miami Dolphins fans had a major cause for concern when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa left the game during their Week 3 showdown against the Buffalo Bills.
He looked shaken up after being knocked down by a Bills defender.
However, he returned to the game and helped the Dolphins defeat their division rivals, 21-19.
The former Alabama standout finished that game with 13 completions for 186 yards and a touchdown.
More importantly, the Dolphins are one of just two undefeated teams left in the season and the only one remaining in the AFC.
Despite the victory, the team’s fans can’t help but wonder about Tagovailoa’s condition.
NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero has an answer regarding the third-year player’s status.
The #Dolphins estimated QB Tua Tagovailoa (back/ankle) as a limited participant in practice today. They visit the #Bengals on Thursday night.

Pelissero tweeted, “The #Dolphins estimated QB Tua Tagovailoa (back/ankle) as a limited participant in practice today. They visit the #Bengals on Thursday night.”
He could be well enough to play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4.
However, the Dolphins will be cautious in handling his condition.
The chances of him playing increase if he makes the trip to Cincinnati.
But even if he is not 100 percent, the Dolphins can find a way to win, given the talent they have on both sides.
Tagovailoa Owning The Starting Role
Mike McDaniel’s arrival has done wonders to Tagovailoa’s game.
Likewise, having additional weapons like Chase Edmonds, Cedrick Wilson, and Tyreek Hill helps him to facilitate their offense better.
Tagovailoa started the 2022 season with a 270-yard, one-touchdown performance against the New England Patriots.
Then, he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after finishing with 469 yards and six touchdowns versus the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2.
He has completed 71.3 percent of his passes through three games for 925 yards and eight touchdowns.
