All NFL teams that need a receiver must be flooding the San Francisco 49ers with messages and calls.
After all, Deebo Samuel is no ordinary wideout after a breakout 2021 season.
He became an All-Pro by having 1,405 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
But he did the most damage in the run game, setting a wide receiver record of eight rushing touchdowns.
Despite achieving success on the field, Samuel requested a trade.
The right reasons for his demand are unknown, but he apparently didn’t like how he was used on offense.
Instead, he would like to focus on catching the ball.
There’s also a case of him not wanting to stay in California.
Regardless of the reason, the Samuel trade is in play even if the 49ers are willing to give him a hefty contract extension.
One team emerges as the frontrunner, as NFL insider Jeremy Fowler said.

Fowler identified the New York Jets to be the likeliest destination for Samuel.
The South Carolina alumnus doesn’t have a no-trade clause, giving San Francisco the freedom to send him anywhere for the right price.
Getting Samuel will fill a primary position of need for the Jets after losing Jamison Crowder to the Buffalo Bills.
What Can The Jets Offer To Land Samuel?
San Francisco will ask for a first-round pick from their potential partner if the trade talks push through.
Meanwhile, the Jets own the fourth and the tenth overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Therefore, they can satisfy the 49ers’ price while having an opportunity to still draft a first-rounder.
Landing Samuel means that the Jets would likely use their remaining first-round pick to get an edge rusher from a deep pool.
